Rapid fishing trip

We go river fishing to the Loukas or Jänkäläinen rapids. The rapids are located about 10 km from the center of Pelkosenniemi in the direction of Savukoski. Options are by car, or by boat via the Kemin Islands to Loukas. Särkkä, located below Loukaksenkoski, is a great place for camping and fishing. Särkkä is a shallow island in the middle of the Kemijoki River. Grayling and trout thrive around the ache just below the rapids. The place is also excellent tent camping. Closer can also be found on the Kurkiainen rapids, which is located near the Javarusjoki river Pyhätunturia. There is a good shed, an outdoor toilet and a campfire site. The rapids are mainly consecrated for grayling.
