Snowshoeing

Explore the snowy fell landscapes of Lapland in winter by snowshoeing

Snowshoeing has many benefits, such as the opportunity to explore nature and enjoy the tranquil winter landscapes of Lapland. Additionally, it provides an effective way to improve fitness, as walking with snowshoes activates many muscles, especially in the lower body and core. Moreover, snowshoeing is relatively easy to learn and suitable for most people regardless of age or fitness level. As a new addition to traditional snowshoes, many rental shops and program providers offer forest skiing with sliding snowshoes, which, like traditional snowshoeing, opens up new possibilities for winter forest adventures.

Pyhä offers approximately 14.6 km of marked snowshoe trails, one of which leads to Pyhä-Luosto National Park and fell Soutaja.

In Luosto, there are 16 km of marked snowshoe trails leading to some of the most scenic areas of Pyhä-Luosto National Park.

Look at the snowshoieng trails on the map: Pyhä and Luosto.
