Slope bookings are possible for the following slopes in Pyhä: Slope 3 (Piste Palander), 4 (Polar), and 6 (North slope Red). When looking down the slope, track A is on the left side, track B is on the right side, and track C is between A and B.

The information needed for a reservation is the date and time, name of the team, name of the coach and his/her phone number, size of the training group, ages of the trainers, and discipline (SL/GS). Notice! Before competitions, the exact track and time for training will be decided in the coaches' meeting, which will be held daily.

No other slopes can be booked for training purposes. Please note that slope bookings are not possible when slopes are reserved for public use! At high seasons (Christmas, New Year, ski holiday weeks 8-10, Easter), training (including freeskiing) must occur in the slope area reserved for training.

At the beginning of the season, during the busiest training season, and possibly at other times, the exact training shifts and times, taking skill levels into account, are shared on-site in the coaches' daily meetings. At this time, you need to indicate the dates when the team has booked its track shift, the number of participants, and the discipline. We try to offer each team at least 2 training shifts per day. If a date becomes full of track shifts, we will inform you about it when making the reservation.

Security and control

The head coach is responsible for building the course in the reserved area and keeping the rest of the slope free. The reserved training area must be marked clearly on the slope with the board provided.

All team members and coaches must stay, and all equipment must be kept inside their own reserved slope area.

Dangerous crossings, where it is possible to collide with other skiers, have to be either closed with a net or put under surveillance by a supervisor from the team.

SLOPE RULES APPLY ON TRACKS AND MUST BE FOLLOWED

  • the skier approaching from above is obliged to give way

  • track reservation does not entitle the skiers to jump the queue

  • skiers on the track must have a valid ski pass which needs to be shown each time at the SkiData reader

Pyhä SkiPatrol monitors that the track rules are followed. As a result of rule violations, SkiPatrol has the right to cancel track shifts and remove lift tickets from use for a limited period.

Cancellation terms

Cancellation terms

All cancellations must be made in writing at least 7 days before the start of the first reserved track time by email to trackbooking@pyha.fi. The cancellation fee for non-canceled track reservations is 200€ and will be invoiced from the team/coach.

If needed, Pyhätunturi Ltd. reserves the right to change the track locations and times.

If the team/ a team member violates slope rules or practices, Pyhätunturi Ltd. is entitled to cancel track bookings made for the team.

Alpine skiers and boardercrossers train at Pyhä

On alpine skiing, the most famous of the several slopes that can be reserved for training is Piste Palander - one of Finland's best racing and training slopes. The varying profile of the slope offers a challenge even to an experienced skier; the slope varies between 25 and 55 percent. The fast Express chair lift enhances training, and a circuit on the hill takes only about four minutes. Both slalom and giant slalom competitions are organized annually on the 1,200-meter-long competition slope that meets FIS requirements.

In addition to alpine sports, Pyhä has hosted Para Snowboard Cross World Cup competitions for several years and organized snowboard cross camps. The races and training occur on the Polar Madness slope, where the expert team builds a fast-paced snowboard cross course every year.

There is also a renovated park on the Pyhä family slopes, where you can find presses, rails, and jumps for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

Welcome to train and be filled with the fell feeling for Pyhä!
