Trails and safety

We participate in the development of the maintenance, safety, and signage of ski tracks, snowshoe, cycling, and snowmobile trails. Pyhä-Luosto is responsible for producing printed materials such as regional maps and pocket guides, and maintains the digital map service Pyhaluostotrails.fi

In 2024–2025, the Ympärivuotista nostetta Pyhä-Luostolle reitistöjä kehittämällä" project took tourism infrastructure to a new level. Read more about the project's results. There are several ongoing projects related to the development of trails and trail signage in the area, in which the association actively participates.

The safety working group updates the regional safety plan twice a year (in October and April) and coordinates training sessions agreed upon jointly within the working group. Examples include the "Get to Know the Fells" day organized twice a year for local staff, which familiarizes participants with the region's offerings.
