All services are also conveniently accessible without a car. Accommodation designed for skiers naturally includes functional storage and maintenance facilities for skis and equipment. On a carefree snow holiday, you can focus on what matters – each apartment comes fully equipped as standard, with firewood and bed linen ready for you, and final cleaning included in the price.
Close to Nature
Optimal occupancy rate: The Ski-Inn ownership model, where privately owned holiday apartments are rented out year-round, is an ecologically responsible choice. By combining owner use and rental use, it reduces the need for new construction and improves occupancy rates.
A holiday without a car: From all Ski-Inn destinations, you can reach the slopes and cross-country tracks by skiing, riding, a short walk or SkiBus. Services are also within walking distance, so you don’t need a car during your stay. The prime locations of Ski-Inn properties near slopes and services have a significant impact on both the ease of your holiday and its environmental footprint.
Green Key certified: Ski-Inn Hotels & Apartments has long invested in responsible solutions, including a sustainable accommodation concept, the use of renewable energy and enhanced waste sorting. The Green Key certification confirms Ski-Inn’s commitment to sustainable tourism and offers guests an even more responsible accommodation option.
Sustainable Travel Finland label: In December 2025, Ski-Inn Hotels & Apartments in Ruka and Pyhä were awarded the Visit Finland STF (Sustainable Travel Finland) label. STF is Visit Finland’s official sustainable tourism label and development programme, created to support and promote sustainable travel practices in Finland. Receiving the label requires commitment to environmental, social and economic responsibility goals, as well as third-party certification. Ruka and Pyhä ski resorts have held the STF label since 2020.
Energy efficiency: Energy efficiency is continuously improved and developed, focusing for example on ventilation and heating. In Ruka, a smart Optiwatti system has been introduced, automatically adjusting apartment temperatures based on weather conditions and occupancy. This results in energy savings of 20–30%, which is highly significant. Other examples include LED lighting and water-saving taps.
Recycling and material efficiency: At Ski-Inn destinations, guests can recycle all waste fractions for which collection services are available in Ruka and Pyhä. Recycling opportunities are continuously improved in cooperation with municipalities and other partners. Responsibility is considered in procurement from environmental, social and economic perspectives. Cleaning services for Ski-Inn hotels and apartments are provided by SOL Services, which has been awarded the prestigious Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
Everything Included in the Price
Fully equipped: All Ski-Inn apartments are fully equipped to ensure a successful snow holiday. Equipment always includes a private sauna (excluding Hotel Pyhätunturi and Kultakero Rakka and Tokka), a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine (either in the apartment or in shared facilities), internet and TV. There are also excellent facilities for ski storage and maintenance.
Customer service at your service: Ski-Inn staff are available 24/7 for any assistance or questions. Whatever issue may arise during your holiday, help and guidance are always easily available. In most of our destinations, check-in and check-out are handled via door codes, allowing you to minimise contact with anyone outside your own group if you wish.
