Winter Nocturne – Songs of the Winter Night

Winter Nocturne is a concert where Christmas and the winter night meet — where classical and popular melodies intertwine like light and shadow on a snowy landscape. The evening’s performer is Mohammad Riazat, now calling Rovaniemi his home. He has touched audiences with his beautiful voice and won hearts through his success in The Voice of Finland 2025. At the piano, Maria Kluen brings her own artistry from Rovaniemi.
The programme features beloved Christmas and winter songs from around the world: The Christmas Song, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, White Christmas and Silent Night evoke nostalgia and peace, while the Finnish classics Mökit nukkuu lumiset and Maa on niin kaunis reflect the beauty of a northern winter — with an opportunity for the audience to join in song.The evening also includes rarer gems such as the Persian Marde tanha and Schubert’s timeless Ave Maria. True to its name, the concert will also feature some of the most beautiful works of romantic piano music — Nocturnes, echoing like the heart of a winter night.
