Cross Camp in Pyhä 29.1.-11.2.2024

Welcome to Pyhä Cross Camp 2024!

This year, the camp has been divided into two sections: 29.1.-4.2. and 8.-11.2.2024.

The World Para Snowboard World Cup will be hosted in Pyhä at 5.-7.2.2024 between the camps.

Pyhä has hosted SBX training camps for the past decade with great results and team feedback. Pyhä has also been a competition venue for Para Snowboard World Cups and Para Snowboard World Championships. Pyhä offers high-quality facilities for SBX training, including Settele World Cup Start gates.

There are also good slopes for the GS training (FIS homologated), and the main lift is a fast 6-people chair lift with a bubble. Hotel Pyhätunturi also has a gym available for physical training.

From accommodation to the SBX course, it takes only a few minutes to be ready to go to the start gates. Due to fast and easy access from accommodation to the training course, we can offer two training slots for each day, one morning session and one afternoon session (except on Sunday 4.2. when there will be other slopes available for training).

Pyhä Cross Camp is mainly targeted for international level SBX, SX, Para-SBX athletes and is also suitable for intermediate and pro-level junior SBX teams.

Pyhä Cross Camp and World Para Snowboard World Cup are organized with Soul Productions Ltd. and the Finnish Snowboard Association.

TRAINING AND RACES

In Pyhä, a high-standard training course built to meet top-level riders’ needs. The team officials are welcome and even expected to join the building phase.

Mon 29.1.- Sun 4.2  Cross Camp (6 practice days; changes to the course for the competition will be done on Sunday)

Mon 5.2. Official training day

Tue 6.2. - Wed 7.2. Competition days, World Para Snowboard World Cup

Thu 8.2. - Sun 11.2. Extended days of the camp (if at least 25 participants)

Arriving in Finland and transportation

Pyhä is located in Finnish Lapland close to the Arctic Circle, only 130 kilometers from Rovaniemi airport, which has several daily connections from Helsinki. The airport bus service is available from the airport to Pyhä. Private transport with minibus starting from 370 € one-way, max. capacity 16 people. Several car rental companies operate in Rovaniemi airport.

At the resort, everything is within walking distance, e.g., the distance from the hotel/apartments to the slope is 50-150 meters. There is also a minimarket located in the hotel lobby.

Camp, competition & lift passes

The cross camp fee includes the SBX course fee. Lift passes for all participants in Ski-Inn accommodation come with a -10% discount on online prices. The discount is available for all riders, coaches, maintenance crew, etc. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Pyhäbooking to order lift tickets.

The race fee will be specified in the separately sent invitation. The race fee is paid on the spot directly to the race office.

Accommodation

For camp attendants and contestants, we offer Ski-Inn accommodation with a -15% discount from normal booking rates. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Pyhäbooking to book your accommodation.

Feeling fancy?

We still have a few Pore55 (accommodates 5 pers) and Taivas136 (accommodates 8+2 pers) available for booking in the new Hotel Kultakero, located in the heart of the fell village. The jewels of the apartments are a sauna with a window and a jacuzzi on the terrace.

Please note that the use of the jacuzzi is not included in the apartment price.

Equipment maintenance rooms

The equipment maintenance rooms are located in Hotel Pyhätunturi and other Ski-Inn buildings or right next to them. Use of maintenance rooms is included in the price of accommodation. Please let us know if your team needs access to equipment service rooms – the capacity is limited.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch & dinner are served in Camp Kitchen & Bar in Hotel Pyhätunturi. Pre-booking will offer a cheaper price. We ask the customer to confirm the final number of people seven (7) days before the time of the event, and if the group size decreases after this, they will no longer be refunded.
