Travel to Pyhä

Easy to reach

Fly to Rovaniemi, Kittilä or Kuusamo, rent a car or hop on to the bus and you'll get to Pyhä. It takes about 90 minutes to drive from Rovaniemi to Pyhä and about 2 hrs 20 minutes to drive from Kuusamo. Kittilä is located about 155 km from Pyhä and the travel time is about 2 hours. There are good bus connections from Rovaniemi airport - 4 times a day in winter and 2 times a day in summer.

By train

The nearest train stations are at Rovaniemi and Kemijärvi. Travelling to Rovaniemi or Kemijärvi from southern Finland (10-12 hours) is easy, also with a car-carrier train. SkiBus transports you to Pyhä from both of these stations.

Daily flights between Rovaniemi and Helsinki are operated by Finnair throughout the year. Flights between Rovaniemi and Helsinki are operated by Norwegian several times a week.

By car

The easiest route to Pyhä goes along either the E75 road or E63 road. The E75 road goes through bigger cities like Jyväskylä, Oulu, Kemi and Rovaniemi. The E63 road goes through Kuopio, Kajaani, Kuusamo and Kemijärvi.

While driving to Pyhä, pay attention to the grey and furry reindeer which might run on the road.

Reach Pyhä effortlessly

The most effortless route to Pyhä from Southern Finland runs along either the E75 (Nelostie) or E63 (Viitostie) roads. When traveling on Nelostie towards Pyhä from southern Finland, the largest cities are Jyväskylä (distance to Pyhä 677 km), Oulu (343 km), Kemi (250 km) and Rovaniemi (133 km). On Viitostie, the traveler encounters Kuopio (612 km), Kajaani (442 km), Kuusamo (197 km) and Kemijärvi (56 km) before arriving at Pyhä.

Tunturitie

Tunturitie passing Pyhä and Luosto is a scenic road that runs next to 12 fell peaks, also a good option for all those traveling to and from Lapland. The road, numbered 962, connects road 5 running between Kemijärvi and Sodankylä and road 4 going from Sodankylä in the direction of Rovaniemi.

It's not a ring route, when coming Kemijärvi driving along Tunturitie lengthens the journey by only a few kilometers and takes the traveler constantly closer to his destination.

Parking spaces near the ski resort

The construction site of Hotel Kultakero affects the availability of parking spaces, and there are limited parking spaces on the hotel platform. The parking spaces on the hotel, PyhäLinna's and PyhäSuites' are intended for guests and users of the platform's services.

Parking areas for day visitors can be found at Luontokeskus Naava, Lower rental shop, Family slopes sub-station, next to slope 12 and Northern Slopes sub-station.

Electric car charging points in front of Hotel Pyhätunturi are reserved only for electric car charging and parking for other purposes is prohibited.
