Independence Day Torch ski 6.12.2025

In the chilly evening at the Tajukangas outdoor theater, there's a warm atmosphere as the Freeride Festival delights backcountry enthusiasts with ski films. Filmmakers will be present to showcase their projects.

The evening is for ages 18 and over. 1664 bar will be serving drinks during the film screening. The event is free. Put your warmest clothes on and join the show in the most magical movie theatre!

The Freeride Movie Festival will arrive at the Naava Nature and Culture Centre auditorium and will treat backcountry lovers with skiing films on Friday 5 December starting at 7pm. Bring the whole family and sit down in the warm indoor spaces after a day on the slopes to enjoy the fantastic skiing experiences. The event is free of charge and there is no age limit. The fun slalom competition for the whole family is contested on the Polar slope (4).

Starting point: In front of the restaurant Mesta.

You can participate either on skis or on a snowboard. Registration at the starting point at 1pm. Participation is free of charge, but of course you need a lift ticket and equipment for the descent. You cannot join the race after it has started, so make sure to be on time!
