Feel the Peak – Scenic lift for pedestrians

The PyhäExpress scenic lift is accessible for both cyclists and pedestrians. During the lift ride, you can admire the panoramic views of the fell. The lift, designed for six people, slows down at both the lower and upper stations, making boarding effortless. Staff are available to provide assistance and guidance as needed.

If you prefer, you can take the lift to the summit and then return by lift after enjoying the views, or alternatively, hike back down the trail. The scenic lift operates according to the PyhäExpress opening hours. Pedestrian lift tickets can be purchased from ticket machines or ticket sales points.

As part of the peak experiences, there's the Huttu-Ukko art trail completed in the autumn of 2019 and later expanded. Located in the immediate vicinity of the PyhäExpress lift and Restaurant Tsokka, the art trail was created in collaboration with local artist Tapio Uusitalo and Pyhä Ski Resort. The artworks along the trail are inspired by the area's history, myths, and beliefs.

The execution of the artworks takes into account the different seasons. In winter, the artworks are covered in hoarfrost, creating a magical white glow, until the spring sun melts the snow and reveals the artworks to the viewers once again.

The landscape platform at the top of Pyhä offers open views of the surrounding nature and the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. On the platform railing, you will also find a panoramic photo in which the most notable landmarks visible from the top are marked.

At Restaurant Tsokka, you can indulge in a culinary delight during the day amidst outdoor activities, or enjoy an experiential Northern Lights dinner in good company. The menu also features world-famous savory and sweet waffles.

The Tunturivartija landscape hut is located at the top of Pyhä, a few hundred meters from the top station of PyhäExpress. This atmospheric hut's large windows offer views over the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and towards the fells stretching to Luosto. Breathe for a while in the warmth of the hut. If you wish, you can cook a long meal on the fireplace and enjoy your meal sheltered from the wind.

As you descend halfway from the summit, you'll encounter the rugged cliffs of Tajukangas and its timeless atmosphere. Here, you'll find a fireplace, a hut, restroom facilities, and a stage where magnificent artists bring life to various events and festivals, such as Pyhä Unplugged.

Pyhä's Feel the Peak experience is also suitable for people with reduced mobility. Between the Rental shop Alavuokraamo and the restaurant Pyhän Uula, there are parking spaces for persons with disabilities. There is only a short transition to the PyhäExpress chairlift, which you can enter with a lightweight wheelchair.

Toilets for the disabled are available in the lower Rental Shop, Restaurant Pyhän Uula, and the nature center Naava.
