Huttu-Ukko's Hide-and-Seek

How wonderful that we’ve met!
I’m Huttu-Ukko, the guardian of this fell, and I need your help. My animal friends came up with a brilliant game: they’ve hidden themselves all over the fell. The hiding spots are so clever that I simply can’t find them on my own. Could you lend a hand?

Huttu-Ukko’s Hide-and-Seek takes place on the slope area and requires skis or a snowboard as well as a valid lift ticket. The adventure itself is free of charge and can be completed independently. You’ll find the first checkpoint and some extra clues to help you get started just below the image. Suitable for kids and grown-up adventurers alike!

You can join Huttu-Ukko’s quest during the lift and slope opening hours by starting at the first checkpoint, located at the slope map in front of the Lower Rental Shop. Each checkpoint is marked with an icon that you see on top.

At every checkpoint, you’ll find a clue leading you to the next one. While you search, remember to take a moment to study the tracks left in the snow.

If a checkpoint proves tricky to find, feel free to use the extra hints listed below — but give it a good try on your own first.

Checkpoint 1

The first checkpoint is located on the slope map in front of the Lower Rental Shop. Let the adventure begin!

Checkpoint 2

The second checkpoint is located in the Family Slopes area. You’ll find it on the outer wall of the hut.

Checkpoint 3

You’ll find the third checkpoint by taking the platter lift located in front of the Lower Rental Shop.

Checkpoint 4

To find the fourth checkpoint, figure out which summit platform features a panoramic photo of all the surrounding fells. The checkpoint can be found on the slope side of the platform.

Checkpoint 5

The fifth checkpoint requires a peek behind something. It’s located at the start of the shorter of the two adventure slopes on the ski area – a sharp eye will spot it with a little patience!

Checkpoint 6

To reach the sixth checkpoint, leave your skis or board at the gate of the Huttu-Ukko Art Route and continue on foot for a short distance. Can you already spot Huttu-Ukko?
