Snow Safety 1 course provides the fundamentals of avalanches and avalanche danger. Participants learn methods to manage the risk of getting caught in an avalanche while exploring fells and mountains. They learn how to seek out information and interpret it to enhance personal safety. Participants develop the ability to recognize avalanche terrain and independently find a safe route in easy terrain. They also learn how to independently carry out companion rescue in straightforward conditions and call for help.
Price for the 2-day Pyhä course: 365 € per person (includes avalanche card, lift rides, and a course certificate). Minimum participant is 2 persons.
