Hunting, fishing, foraging and crafting was and still is when possible, a traditional way of life by Inari-Sámi people. Your guide, Tiia, is part of an Inari Sámi family and has a deep personal connection to the local culture and traditions. She is also a passionate nature expert with extensive knowledge of wild edible plants, mushrooms and herbs and their traditional uses, including their traditional medicinal properties.
Join us on a taste journey into the heart of the forest! We’ll explore the nearby forest discovering edible herbs, berries, and mushrooms.
You’ll learn to identify nature’s offerings and forage them responsibly.
After that, we’ll gather in our home and prepare delicious tasters from the day’s harvest. You’ll take home recipes and your own handmade seasoning blend.
