Pyhä is freedom, adventure, and a great place to work

Pyhä is the pearl of Eastern Lapland, where you will find a high-quality and developing ski resort, wonderfully maintained slopes, and the best freeride opportunities in Finland.

It is important for us to preserve the authentic atmosphere of Lapland and cherish that distinctive fell feeling that Pyhä is known for. We want to grow Pyhä sustainably and with respect for the nature of the national park so that the next generations can also enjoy it. In the coming years, we will invest in the development of Pyhä with high-quality accommodation, new services, and free parking. The most-awaited chair lift in the country, PohjoisExpress, was the latest to be completed. You can therefore continue to enjoy the best slopes in the country without waiting in line at the lifts. Increasing the quality of accommodation opens doors again for new lovers of skiing, nature, and an active life.

Our goal is to offer Finland's most versatile events, ski school and group products, and rental agency services for free skiing. We also want to be the easiest and safest fell to start free skiing.

Responsibility is one of our most important values, guiding everything we do in the fells. Our goal is to be the cleanest ski center in the world.

In addition, we want to be the most sought-after employer in the industry. Welcome to work in the fells, friend.

Our values

Cooperation – the most important of our values. Cooperation must take place both within units, between the units in the company, and between companies in the region. We want to be fair partners for both colleagues and external actors. Effective cooperation is conveyed to our friends as a flowing vacation.

Responsibility – In our responsibility work, we are a pioneer in the ski resort industry in Finland, and Pyhä became the first carbon-neutral ski center in the Nordic countries in terms of energy use in 2011. Responsible and long-term operations have been the core values of the Aho family, which has guided Pyhä's development since the 1980s. We bear our responsibility towards personnel, the environment, and society.

Enthusiasm for skiing and snowboarding – At the center of everything our company does is skiing and snowboarding in their various forms. We are enthusiastic about it, and it is reflected in everything we do.

Pyhä is born of friends – Pyhä does not have customers, but friends whom we receive as individuals. The smallness of the resort is also an advantage, as we can serve our friends in a more personal way.

Who do we have at work?

Pyhä is a relatively small and compact fell, and so is the fell's own work team, although a large group of colleagues can also be found in Ruka. Some of us work in jobs related to both Pyhä and Ruka, and sometimes move from one fell to another. Find out more about our teams and their work below. Maybe you'd be the one to slip into our group?

Why would you choose us?

If you've ever dreamed of moving to Lapland, Pyhä is the perfect choice for those who love winter, skiing, and snowboarding. The fell offers a wide range of recreational opportunities for those who enjoy snow and nature. When the skiing center is next door to the oldest national park in Finland, Pyhä-Luosto, with the best free skiing opportunities in Finland, it is natural to spend your free time outside in the fell. And the well-known Pyhä magic becomes familiar at work as well, when most of the work is done next to or on top of Kultakero fell.

We employ experts from many different fields, but all employees have one thing in common – they have their own team around them that encourages and supports them.

We develop Pyhä purposefully, and we want the skills of the employees to develop as well. We regularly collect feedback from each employee, and we strive to improve work methods based on the feedback. Personal development discussions a few times a season are also part of our ordinary routine.

Employee benefits

  • As an employee benefit, we offer all our employees a lift ticket to the slopes for the entire duration of their employment, both in winter and summer. Family members can also buy a season ticket at a very affordable staff discount price.
  • For sports and culture benefit, we offer the widely used Epassi mobile application. You can use the benefit offered through the application according to your own choice (the amount varies according to the length of the employment relationship).
  • When visiting other ski centers, you can use the staff card of the Finnish Ski Area Association, which gives you a 50% discount on lift tickets at member centers.
  • From our rental offices, we offer our staff equipment for daily rental free of charge (taking into account peak congestion in accordance with customer demand). You can also get significant discounts on the PyhäStore selection and Ski-Inn accommodations in Ruka and Pyhä. At Ruka, you can also get a staff discount on the RukaStore and Ruka Brand Village selections.
  • With the area's common Pyhä-Luosto crew card, you also get staff discounts from many other companies in the area.
  • We organize several activities and events for our staff every season. You are always welcome to participate in Ruka's similar staff activities as well.
  • All our employees are naturally insured during their working hours, but in addition to that, we offer our personnel leisure accident insurance.
