Pyhä for groups

The PYHÄ SANA art festival 11–12 Sept 2026 celebrates language in many forms, bringing together musicians, joik artists, authors, poets, and audiences. Performances take place on the scenic outdoor stages of Aittakuru and Tajukangas by Pyhätunturi, surrounded by autumn colors.

Ruska Race is an outdoor day for the whole family, consisting of three different sports in the terrain of Pyhä. The sports are mountain biking with a choice of short or long distance, canoeing in Pyhäjoki and hiking. You can participate independently or as a team.

A truly feel-good weekend awaits as we gather to enjoy the season's first turns in the slopes of Pyhä and the upcoming powder days of winter. We'll prepare for the new freeride season by honing old skills and learning new ones. Check out the program below!

Celebrate the magic of Christmas surrounded by snowy fells and peaceful nature in Pyhätunturi. Experience a traditional Finnish Christmas with Santa Claus, reindeer, and heartwarming concerts in the atmospheric Fell Chapel.

New Year at Pyhä – Celebrate in the Heart of Lapland

Spend New Year surrounded by the magical snowy landscapes of Pyhätunturi. As tradition goes, the slopes of Pyhä come alive on New Year’s Eve with a torchlight ski show and a dazzling fire performance to welcome the year ahead.

Please note that the use of fireworks is prohibited within the ski resort area, including the slopes. We want to protect the precious surrounding nature and wildlife, as well as prevent unnecessary littering – and we encourage all our guests to do the same.

On New Year’s Day, Pyhä’s scenic chairlift operates from 10:00 to 18:00, offering breathtaking views from the summit. Tickets are available at the Lower Rental Shop next to the PyhäExpress station and from the ticket machine.

Local restaurants host festive dinners and live music —advance booking via email directly with the restaurant is required. Unique winter activities are available throughout the holiday period, and we recommend reserving your spot early.

The Bättre Folk i Fjällen festival invites lovers of great music to the fells again in January 2027. Alongside charming live performances, the program includes skiing, sauna sessions, and ice swimming.

More information about the 2027 event will be updated by autumn 2026 at the latest.

The competition will be held from 11 to 13 December 2025, with competitors arriving on the fell to train as early as 8 December.

There’s a wide range of activities available throughout the winter holiday week. On the slopes of Pyhä, Pyhä Ski School hosts guided slope adventures, most of which only require a lift pass.
