The PyhäExpress chairlift serves pedestrians as a scenic lift during its normal operating hours. Find the opening hours below the image.

A trip to Pyhä is not complete if you haven't seen the landscape from the top of the fell, right at the edge of the national park. At the summit, you’ll find Restaurant Tsokka, Pyhä Dreams wine bar, a scenic hut where you can relax by the fireplace, the iconic old lift chair, glimpses of the Huttu-Ukkonen art trail peeking through the snow, and a panoramic viewing deck.

Pedestrian tickets are not sold online. The most convenient way to buy a pedestrian ticket is from a ticket machine. The nearest machine is located in front of Alavuokraamo, right next to the lower station of the lift. Only card payments can be made to the machine. Rental shops sell pedestrian tickets from the service desk, as well as the reception of Hotel Pyhätunturi.

Our illuminated sledding hill keeps the laughter going long after the lifts stop running!

The lower part of Run 13 (Family Slope) turns into a perfect, flood-lit sledding hill half an hour after the lifts close, and you can sled there until 8 PM. The half-hour immediately after closing is reserved for slope maintenance, so please wait until it’s complete. The slope groomer continues maintenance after 8 PM.

Note! The sledding hill is closed on Fridays between 19 December and 3 April. The sledding hill will open on winter when the slope has enough snow.

You can sled down the illuminated lower part of the slope, starting from below the bridge of Slope 14 (Skiway). Please note that sledding is only allowed 30 minutes after the slopes close. You can rent and buy the sledges from the Kultakero rental shop or the Lower rental shop. Pyhä K-market also sells sledges.

Please keep in mind that sledding on ski tracks or roads is prohibited for everyone's safety.

Want to learn tricks and improve your park skills? Our two-day freestyle course takes you into the world of park riding in a safe and fun way. Day one focuses on jumps – learn the technique and gain confidence in the air. Day two is all about rails, where we practice balance and control. Perfect for riders with solid basic skills who are eager to learn something new. During the course participants will also learn the etiquette rules in the terrain park.

To participate, you will need a helmet, lift pass and equipment. For skiers we recommend twintip skis.

The courses will have two levels Green and Blue

Ice Karting at Pyhä is a totally new experience that is fun and exciting. It is an activity that is easy to learn and get going, but difficult to master. Ice Karting allows everyone who is 15 years old or older, and taller than 150cm, to drive and compete with similar karts. The Ice Karting race gives you something to talk about for a long time! Karts in principle are the same as the ones used in indoor karting, but with studded tires. The program consists of practice, qualifying and race.
Three best drivers will be awarded with a medal!

Floorball tournament is a fun, playful game for the whole family on top of Pyhä. Gather a team of three from family members or friends and take the lift to the top of Pyhätunturi. Games are organised in front of restaurant Tsokka.

Participation in the game is free of charge. Registration takes place on site when the games start.

If the weather is very bad and it is not possible to organise floorball game at the top, the games will be played at the top of slope 16 (Huttumaa).

Come and experience a husky sled ride and meet the delightful huskies at the kennel. Husky Safaris offers the chance to experience a husky sled ride during the winter holiday weeks 8-10. The rides are conducted as short non-stop rides on Thursdays & Fridays from 12:00 to 14:00, and at the same time, you have the opportunity to explore the kennel and meet the charming huskies on your own. Children can participate in the ride and kennel visit only when accompanied by an adult.

Explore the backcountry safely! Safely to the forest lines is a freeride adventure for 8–16-year-olds, where participants ride in the new Honka freeride area together with a ski instructor. Pyhä husky farm is Small Privately Owned Farm.
Huskies originate in the polar areas and are well accustomed to the cold weather. They are working dogs used primarily as sled dogs. Hence, they love running!

Pyhä Husky Farm is a small privately own farm in the heart of a forest. Visit the farm for a safari or a day with the dogs, and learn interesting facts about their life at the farm. There is a possibility for a sledge ride in small groups and summer time to help out at the farm and have a ride in Husky wagon!

Enjoy and rejuvenate in the nature of Lapland with horseback riding on Finnish horses at Outinen Riding Center. The program includes a farm visit, horse care, and about an hour of trail riding. The total duration of the program is 1,5-2 hours and is suitable for beginners as well.
