Finnish winter holiday week 8

There’s a wide range of activities available throughout the winter holiday week. On the slopes of Pyhä, Pyhä Ski School hosts guided slope adventures, most of which only require a lift pass. On chilly days, you can explore the free national park exhibition at the Naava Nature Centre. Great family-friendly activities include the Pyhäkuru adventure park, Bliss Adventure’s ice climbing, snowmobile safaris, ice karting, or a visit to the Poropuisto Kopara reindeer park.

WINTER HOLIDAY TIPS:

Get to know the slopes of Pyhä. The slopes are open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. On winter holiday Fridays, the lifts run until 20:00 for evening skiing.
Explore the winter holiday slope adventures: there’s guided activity on the slopes every day.
On Wednesdays, the hugely popular Skidit Disco entertains and gets kids dancing at CAMP Kitchen & Bar from 17:00 to 20:00. Adults can enjoy a relaxing evening on the restaurant side. Check out more details.
Pyhäkuru’s winter adventure park opens in week 8. Spend a thrilling day climbing, ziplining and enjoying magnificent views. The adventure park is open Fri–Mon from 10:00 to 17:00. Tickets in advance at pyhakuru.fi
If the weather turns, visit the exhibition at Naava Nature Centre or stop by the animal farms at Poropuisto Kopara or Pyhä Husky Farm.
Spend a fun and fast-paced day at Pyhä’s sledding hill, located approx. 1 km along the Pyhä–Luosto road towards Luosto. There’s also a campfire spot right nearby.

Pyhäkuru Adventure Park

Finland’s only cliff adventure park, Pyhäkuru, offers unforgettable experiences for adventurers of all levels. Dive into a winter adventure amid the fell scenery of Tajukangas, or stop by Café Kuru to warm up and enjoy treats prepared by Karo. Pyhäkuru invites you to experience something truly unique.

Visitors Center Naava

Pyhä-Luosto Nature Centre Naava hides an enchanting nature exhibition where you can explore the nature of Pyhä-Luosto National Park and the cultural history of the area using all your senses. On frosty days, you can visit the visitor centre to play a hiking game for the whole family.

In the Nature Centre customer service is open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm but the exhibition can be visited daily during Café Loimu's opening hours.

Reindeer Park Kopara

The easiest way to get to know reindeer and their life is the famous Reindeer Trail. Poronpolku is an independent walking trail in a reindeer park lasting about 15-30 minutes.
Poronpolku ticket costs 12€/ person.
You can conveniently buy a ticket at Restaurant Kopara's cashier.
